What this licence allows
- Building work or demolition work on all classes of buildings of unrestricted sizes.
Qualifications
- Building Degree; or
- Advanced Diploma in Building and Construction (Building).
Experience
Experience requirement:
- Three years in the scope of work for applicants with a building trade qualification; or
- Six years in the scope of work for applicants who do not have a building trade qualification.
For this General Construction pathway, "building trade qualification" means at least a Certificate III qualification in carpentry/joinery, bricklaying/block laying, shop-fitting or concreting. If the trade qualification was achieved more than three years before the licence application and the applicant has no evidence of experience in that trade gained in the previous five years, the Administrator may require an additional competency assessment.
