What this licence allows

Internal/external surface preparation and painting, including painting wall/floor tiles, baths and laminates, without building-class restriction. Excludes roof restoration other than painting. Decorating includes techniques such as marbling, gold leaf, murals and wallpapering.

Qualifications

Pathway 1

Complete an Australian-based Painting & Decorating apprenticeship.

Pathway 2

Satisfactorily complete the Work History & Onsite Experience Record to be entitled to attend a building interview.

Pathway 3

Have held an equivalent registration within the 12 months before the application.
