What this licence allows
- Fixing roof slates or imitation slate to exterior roof/fascia surfaces, including shingles/shakes and imitation products, plus associated flashing, sarking, battens and valleys. The category also includes specified skylight, ventilator and protective-coating work that does not structurally alter the roof.
Qualifications
Complete one of the following accepted qualification pathways:
- CPC30820 Certificate III in Roof Tiling including CPCCRT3005 Slate a roof.
- CPC30812 / CPC30811 / CPC30808 / BCG30803 Certificate III in Roof Tiling including CPCCRT3005A or B / BCGRT3005B Slate a roof.
- BCG30898 Certificate III in General Construction (Roof Tiling), TAFE course #7074.
- Qualification 5688 Certificate III in Roof Tiling Trade, TAFE course #7948.
Experience
No separate minimum experience period is prescribed.
Individual applicants must meet the National Police Check requirement and cannot be issued the licence or certificate while still an apprentice or trainee.
