What this licence allows
- For a building practitioner who agrees to do building work under a contract/arrangement or, where there is more than one person, is the principal contractor.
- Class 2, certain class 3 or 9c building work, or a building containing a relevant class 2, certain class 3 or 9c part.
Qualifications
Pathway 1: hold an endorsed contractor licence authorising general building work under the Home Building Act 1989. Pathway 2: satisfy the qualification requirements for that endorsed contractor licence; Pathway 2 carries the class 3/9c-only condition described above.
Experience
At least 5 years practical experience in the last 10 years, including at least 2 years in Australia, carrying out building work involving a class 2, 3, 9a or 9c building.
