What this licence allows

  • For an individual who prepares documents and makes declarations on behalf of a registered body corporate within the medium-rise class.
  • Medium rise: a class 2, 3 or 9c building (or relevant part) limited to a maximum of 3 storeys, or 4 storeys where the ground or first storey is class 7a carpark. Medium-rise excludes Type A construction for class 4, 5, 6, 7b and 8.

Qualifications

Pathway 1: hold a qualified supervisor certificate authorising general building work. Pathway 2: satisfy the qualification requirements for that certificate; Pathway 2 carries the class 3/9c-only condition.

Experience

At least 3 years practical experience in the last 7 years, including at least 2 years in Australia, on class 1, 2, 3, 9a or 9c building work, including at least 2 years coordinating or supervising building work.
