What this licence allows

  • Electrical wiring work, other than interval-metering work or distributed-energy-resource work, without supervision; and supervision of that electrical wiring work.

Qualifications

Qualifications - standard pathway

  • Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician UEE30811 or UEE30820, obtained through a nationally recognised electrical apprenticeship and issued within the previous 5 years.
  • Also complete UEENEEG105A or UEEEL0039. The selected compliance/verification unit must not have been obtained through recognition of prior learning (RPL).
  • Former-licence Method 2 also applies where an ACT Unrestricted Licence was held within the previous 5 years, provided the previous licence was not affected by the disqualifying disciplinary conditions.
  • Work on declared distributed energy resources requires the separate section 31D endorsement where applicable; only holders of an unrestricted electrician or electrical contractor licence are eligible for that endorsement.
